Tzu Chi Brings Medical Care to Residents in Need in Planada, California

During the emergency relief distribution after the 2023 Planada flood, Tzu Chi volunteers found that local residents were in great need of medical services, so they expanded their services from charitable services to also include medical care. On April 28th, the volunteers conducted a special clinic activity to provide free eye care services to residents.

Mobile Vision Clinic Resumes, Helping Students See the World Clearly Again

As the number of COVID-19 infections slowed in the U.S., Tzu Chi volunteers resumed the Mobile Vision Clinic in school districts in El Monte, CA, where they prescribed new eyeglasses for students from disadvantaged families. The kids couldn’t wait to put on their new glasses, and laughed heartily behind their masks, now that they could see the world clearly again.

September 29, 2019, was a special day for the Las Vegas Tzu Chi Service Center for several reasons. Not only was it a day for dental outreach at the Salvation Army to benefit the homeless community in Las Vegas, but it was also the first-ever vision outreach to be conducted in Las Vegas by Tzu Chi.
